 Hispanic Heritage Month Suggested School Announcements 

September 15 – October 15 

 As we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, we take this opportunity to honor the incredible contributions of Hispanic Americans across various fields. Each day, we’ll highlight the achievements of remarkable individuals who have made significant impacts in science, technology, entrepreneurship, music, and more. Stay tuned as we share these amazing stories throughout the month!  

Edgar Barrera (Music - USA/Mexico) Edgar Barrera, a Mexican-American from South Texas, is a Grammy and Latin Grammy Award-winning music producer and songwriter. Known for his work with artists like Maluma, Shakira, Bad Bunny, and Grupo Frontera. Barrera has made a name for himself by blending Latin sounds with modern production techniques. His contributions to reggaeton, pop, and 



Congrats to both boys and girls water polo teams for finishing 3rd in the district and making it to the playoffs!  Both teams will play on Tuesday, October 6th.



Girls basketball will be having tryouts after school on October 21st and 22nd from 2:45-4:30PM. An updated physical and all online forms must be completed in order to participate. If you are interested in trying out, please see Coach Walter, Coach Deans, or Coach Thomas." 



AIN'T NO PARTY LIKE AN LC PARTY!   

That's right, our Homecoming PARKING LOT PARTY is Next Tuesday!  This EVENT is FREE to attend! There will be tons of games, face painting, a live DJ, Food Trucks, and so much MORE!  

The Parking Lot Party is from 4:00 - 6:00 pm in the Parking lot by the Football field.  Then, our Homecoming Pep Rally is from 6:00 - 6:30 PM on the Football Field.  Come cheer on our Lobos to BEAT CY-WOODS!   




Homecoming Dance tickets are currently on sale on School Cash for $30!  The theme for the Dance is Lights, Camera, HOCO and will take place on Friday, October 9th at the Berry Center.  Guest forms are also on School Cash when you purchase your own ticket.  All Langham Creek students need to purchase their own ticket!  The deadline to purchase tickets is October 6th!  You won't want to miss it!


Harry Potter and The Cursed Child 

WHAT'S UP witches and wizards! Are you ready for a new magical adventure coming to Langham full of witchcraft and wizardry? Then bring your wands and robes to watch Harry Potter and The Cursed Child on October 1st through 3rd at 7pm and October 4th at 2pm! Tickets are on sale and can be purchased by scanning the QR codes on posters throughout the school or on our Instagram. So come on out and bring your friends but remember, NO MUGGLES ALLOWED!




Students - After you leave at the end of your day, you may not re-enter the building through any door except the front door.  You will only be allowed in if you have early release AND you have a pass for an after-school activity.  Please help keep us all safe by never opening a door for ANYONE.  Everyone must enter through the front.  If you are attending after school clubs or tutorials, you MUST be to your destination by 2:45 pm or the teacher will not allow you in!


 




Remember that electronic devices are to be put away in a bag for the day, this includes headphones and corded headphones.  There will be no warnings.  If a device is visible to us, we will confiscate it.

  Monday, April 20  Good morning LOBOS!!    The Langham Creek varsity baseball team clinched a playoff berth with a 5-2 victory over Cy Lakes on Friday. This is the second straight playoff appearance for the Lobos and they will be in the playoffs in back-to-back years for the first time since 2009. Many players have had successful seasons this year and the Lobos appreciate the support from fellow students and faculty members. The Lobos will close out the district schedule with games vs. Cy Ranch this week, including at home this Friday. We'll see you at the park! Go Lobos!  SUMMER SCHOOL REGISTRATION is now open!   Tuesday, May 12th  Good morning LOBOS!!    May is Mental Health Awareness Month. We ask all Lobos staff and students to support the CFISD's "Get Your Green On" Day on Friday, May 15th. This district-wide initiative promotes awareness, compassion, and understanding of mental health and encourages students and staff to wear green. The event aims to break the stigma surrounding mental health and show that no one struggles alone. So please wear green clothing, wristbands, or any accessories to support mental health awareness.  Any boys interested in running Cross Country need to attend the information meeting on Tuesday after school in the Football Teamroom   We are proud to congratulate Ruby Laurenzo on qualifying for the UIL Track & Field State Meet!
