Are you interested in wrestling this year? The Langham Creek wrestling team is holding open tryouts this Wednesday at 4:00pm in the Lego gym. You must have a physical on file to try out. Please see Coach Murray if you plan on trying out. This is open to all boys and girls that have an interest in wrestling. It will be a one-day tryout. All you need to bring are workout cloths and a physical. If you have questions please contact Coach Murray, Coach Voisin or Coach Sebesta. See you Wednesday”

 


Attention all future healthcare professionals!

Are you interested in a career in medicine, nursing, research, or public health? Come to the first HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) interest meeting this Wednesday, August 19th.

The meeting will be after school in the Teaching Theater. Join us to learn about medical competitions, community service projects, and leadership opportunities.  Plan to attend from 2:45 - 3:15pm

Whether you already know your career path or just want to explore the medical field, all students are welcome. See you there!



OPEN HOUSE  

 

Our annual Open House is coming up on Monday, August 24th, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Invite your families to join us for an evening to meet your teachers, learn more about your classes, and ask any questions they may have. Families can come and go throughout the evening, with grade-specific meetings taking place before and after the Open House. We hope to see you and your families there!



 

PASS/FAIL (daily until August 26th):

 

Attention, juniors and seniors! Did you know that some courses may be available as a Pass/Fail option if you qualify? This option can allow you to explore areas of interest without the course affecting your GPA or class rank. 

 

If you are enrolled in a course that offers the Pass/Fail option and are interested in participating, go to your class Schoology group to find the link to the Pass/Fail form to request an application. The deadline to complete the request form is Friday, August 21st at 3:00PM!

 

Applications are due to the Counseling Office by Wednesday, August 26th at 3:00PM. If you have questions, please visit the Counseling or DI office.

 



 Attention Seniors:

 

Do you want to read the announcements?  Applications are now available for morning announcement readers in Mrs. Castillo's office (next to Attendance).  Applications are due by Tuesday, Aug. 18 at  7:15 am.  We are looking for dependable students with a good voice for reading!

 









Remember that electronic devices are to be put away in a bag for the day, this includes headphones and corded headphones.  There will be no warnings.  If a device is visible to us, we will confiscate it.


Also, please be patient as we continue to distribute badges to everyone.  All ID badges will be distributed by the end of the day today.  All students will need to use their ID badge beginning on Monday 8/17.  You will need your permanent badge or you will need to purchase a temporary badge beginning Monday.  The "My name is" stickers will not be used after today.


 

If you are new to Cy Fair, you will receive your Chromebook by the end of next week.  Please make sure your parents have signed the online Technology Use agreement.

  Monday, April 20  Good morning LOBOS!!    The Langham Creek varsity baseball team clinched a playoff berth with a 5-2 victory over Cy Lakes on Friday. This is the second straight playoff appearance for the Lobos and they will be in the playoffs in back-to-back years for the first time since 2009. Many players have had successful seasons this year and the Lobos appreciate the support from fellow students and faculty members. The Lobos will close out the district schedule with games vs. Cy Ranch this week, including at home this Friday. We'll see you at the park! Go Lobos!  SUMMER SCHOOL REGISTRATION is now open!
