 Our school's Open House is on Monday, September 8th, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM.

This is a "come and go" event, so you can drop in anytime during the window to meet teachers. 

Please note the following important parent meetings happening during Open House:

  • 12th Grade Parent Meeting: 5:15 PM in the Auditorium.

  • Freshman College Academy Parent Meeting: 5:30 PM in the library.

  • 9th - 11th Grade Parent Meeting: 7:30 PM in the Auditorium.

Are you looking for a welcoming space to connect with others and grow in your faith? Come join OCSM  (Orthodox Christian School Ministries ) for food, fellowship, and fun. We meet the first Thursday of each month after school in Mrs. Ward’s room, 2514. Our first meeting is  Thursday, September 4th and all students are invited!  We’d love to see you there!


Do you enjoy math? Do you want an easy way to earn volunteer hours, stand out to colleges, and have fun in the process? Consider joining Math National Honor Society; our interest meeting is Wednesday, September 3rd after school in Mr. Hunter’s room at 2106!

Is there something that doesn’t quite make sense no matter how much a teacher tries to explain it to you? Maybe joining Learn and Lead is right for you!  Learn and Lead offers peer to peer tutoring that gets to the root of the issue in a way that helps you succeed in your future studies. We will meet every Wednesday in the Library (unless otherwise stated)  . This year we are also doing an academic accountability program focused especially on time management and organization skills. 

 If you would like to BE a tutor, we would love to have you!   The interest meeting is on Wednesday, September 3rd in the Library after school.

Thank you so much to everyone who came to the National English Honor Society meeting. Even though our technology didn't work, it was still so fun to see so many people there.  If you are still interested in NEHS but weren't able to make it to the meeting, look for the signs around school for information on how to keep in touch.  The application for membership is due by September 5th at 11:59 pm.   

 

Are you interested in science?  Join us for our first Science Olympiad Interest meeting on September, 10th in the teaching theatre. 


 Sophomores & Juniors… Do you strive to be a Leader or to learn more about leadership? Then Lone Star College has a program for you! Lone Star College Leadership High School!!!

This is a leadership development and community program for sophomores and juniors seeking the confidence, skills and abilities essential to realizing their leadership potential.  Students will meet monthly at Lone Star College to explore best leadership practices and engage in one on one discussions with community leaders.  Applications are due September 19th.  One recommendation letter is required. If you are interested in participating, please see Mrs. Nevarez or Ms. Skopal in the counselor’s office for more information.

 Homecoming Dance tickets are on sale now in School Cash!  The dance is on Saturday, Sept. 20 from 7 -10 pm.  Tickets are $25.  The theme this year is: A Night in Rio!


Homecoming Important Dates

  • Seniors, it's your time to shine! Only seniors can nominate and vote for the Homecoming Court. Nominations are open right now, from August 28th through September 5th in the Senior Schoology group or on posters throughout the building.

  • Get ready to cheer on our team at the big Homecoming Game on September 19th!

·                  And don't forget the Homecoming Dance on Saturday, September 20th at the Berry Center!

·                  Let's make this the best Homecoming ever!

Tomorrow, May 20, 2025,  seniors that are exempting every final will turn in your Chromebook and charger during English class.  Seniors that are taking finals will turn in Chromebook and charger after you have completed your exam(s).   All technology should be turned in no later than noon on Thursday, May 29, 2025.
