Good morning LOBOS!!   


 Our school's Open House is on Monday, September 8th, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM. This is a "come and go" event, so you can drop in anytime during the window to meet teachers. 

Please note the following important parent meetings happening during Open House:

  • 12th Grade Parent Meeting: 5:15 PM in the Auditorium.

  • Freshman College Academy Parent Meeting: 5:30 PM in the library.

  • 9th - 11th Grade Parent Meeting: 7:30 PM in the Auditorium.

 Do you know what makes a perfect Thursday? Hanging out with friends, good conversations, and of course… free food! That’s exactly what you’ll find at the very first OCSM meeting of the year! OCSM stands for Orthodox Christian Student Ministry, and it’s a place where we talk about faith, share ideas, and make new friends. We’re meeting TODAY right after school in Ms. Ward’s room (room 2514). Everyone is welcome, so bring your friends and your appetite… we can’t wait to see you there! 

 

Are you interested in science?  Join us for our first Science Olympiad Interest meeting on September, 10th in the teaching theatre.

Thank you so much to everyone who came to the National English Honor Society meeting. Even though our technology didn't work, it was still so fun to see so many people there.  If you are still interested in NEHS but weren't able to make it to the meeting, look for the signs around school for information on how to keep in touch.  The application for membership is due by September 5th at 11:59 pm.   

 

 Sophomores & Juniors… Do you strive to be a Leader or to learn more about leadership? Then Lone Star College has a program for you! Lone Star College Leadership High School!!!

This is a leadership development and community program for sophomores and juniors seeking the confidence, skills and abilities essential to realizing their leadership potential.  Students will meet monthly at Lone Star College to explore best leadership practices and engage in one on one discussions with community leaders.  Applications are due September 19th.  One recommendation letter is required. If you are interested in participating, please see Mrs. Nevarez or Ms. Skopal in the counselor’s office for more information.

 Homecoming Dance tickets are on sale now in School Cash!  The dance is on Saturday, Sept. 20 from 7 -10 pm.  Tickets are $25.  The theme this year is: A Night in Rio!


Homecoming Important Dates

  • Seniors, it's your time to shine! Only seniors can nominate and vote for the Homecoming Court. Nominations are open right now, from August 28th through September 5th in the Senior Schoology group or on posters throughout the building.

  • Get ready to cheer on our team at the big Homecoming Game on September 19th!

·                  And don't forget the Homecoming Dance on Saturday, September 20th at the Berry Center!

·                  Let's make this the best Homecoming ever!

Tomorrow, May 20, 2025,  seniors that are exempting every final will turn in your Chromebook and charger during English class.  Seniors that are taking finals will turn in Chromebook and charger after you have completed your exam(s).   All technology should be turned in no later than noon on Thursday, May 29, 2025. Fees will be assessed for any missing and/or damaged technology SENIOR BREAKFAST is MAY 29,2025!!!!!
