Over the break, the LCHS Debate team competed at the Texas Speech & Debate Association’s state championship and made Lobo Nation proud! The policy debate team of Riley Emerson and Laine Yates finished the preliminary rounds with 5 wins and 1 loss and eventually ended their run in the octo-finals, securing their spot in the top 16 of the entire state! Congratulations Lobos!

Seniors, who would you like to be on stage at graduation and read your name?  Now is the time to nominate your favorite teachers to be on stage with you at graduation.  Nominations are due by March 18th.  Link is in the Class of 2025 Schoology page.

Could you be a bully? You probably think you are not a bully. But have you ever gossiped about a classmate or spread rumors? Have you ever sent emails that make fun of someone or called anyone names?  Maybe you have played jokes on someone who looks or behaves differently. You might not think this behavior is serious, but how might the person you are picking on feel? Would you like to feel like that?

Tomorrow, May 20, 2025,  seniors that are exempting every final will turn in your Chromebook and charger during English class.  Seniors that are taking finals will turn in Chromebook and charger after you have completed your exam(s).   All technology should be turned in no later than noon on Thursday, May 29, 2025.
