Hey Lobos. It’s robot fighting time! Langham Creek Robotics is back for another season- and the prizes & stakes are higher than ever before! 4 robots will go head-to-head in STEM-based tournaments to score the most points at the end of multiple rounds. The Vex Robotics season begins this Saturday at Cy-Springs. Show your support for the red & black.

Attention all 11th and 12th grade students we have several Universities hosting information sessions for students on campus this week... if you are interested in learning more or have questions about applications, please plan to attend.
The University of Texas at Austin Admission representative will be on campus THIS Thursday during D Lunch in the LCHS Library.
SMU will also be here on Friday during D Lunch in the Teaching Theater.
Baylor University will be here NEXT Monday, October 28, 2024 in the Teaching Theater

It’s not too late, get your tickets now for Almost, Maine by John Cariani. This bittersweet show focuses on the many aspects of LOVE! From the awkward newness of a first love, to the anger and hurt of Love that is lost and everything in between. Shows are October 24, 25, and 26 at 7:00 PM and October 27 at 2:00 PM. Tickets are on sale now! Scan the QR code on any poster around the building and choose your seat for this magical production. General admission is $10 with Preferred Seating admission at $15. Students get in for only $5. And remember, faculty and staff admission is FREE! See you at the show!
2. Next up from LCHS Theatre, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee! Auditions for this January show will be held Oct. 29, 30 at 3:00 PM in Room 1056 (Theatre Blackbox). You need to prepare a minimum of 16 bars from a Musical Theatre number. This is about 1 min of a song! We want to see your talent, theatre student or not! Callbacks to be held Oct. 31 at 3:00 PM. You do not need to audition both days.
3. The Ducks are coming. The Second Annual Cancer is Quack Duck donation drive is happening next week! Ducks will be on sale during lunches beginning Monday, October 28 – November 1. Proceeds from Cancer is Quack go to a cancer research charity. Ducks will be $2 each and will again have the infamous match game!
HOSA will be hosting a blood drive next Monday. Students who are at least 17 years old can donate. Students can pick up a permission form during lunches and from rooms 1912 and 1913. Permission forms must be returned to sign up for a donation time."

Sign up to take the ASVAB! The test will be Tuesday, October 29 in the morning.
The ASVAB is a free career planning and career exploration assessment. It is a test that can help you decide which college to attend and what to study. It can also help you confirm your current college or career plans and identify college or career options that you may not have considered.
To sign up you MUST have a parent permission slip signed and returned to the counseling office by October 23rd at 3:00pm. You can get a permission slip in the by scanning the QR code that can be found on flyers around the school, in your English and History classes, or in the counselor’s office. If you have any questions please stop by to see Mrs. Twidell in the counseling office.

Attention ALL Sophomores and Juniors who took the PSAT. Results will be released ONLINE in your collegeboard account THIS Thursday, October 24, 2024. Please download the Collegeboard Big Future App for easier access to scores. Feel free to check your class schoology for more information.
Boys Basketball tryouts will be Friday October 25th at 6:00 am before school in the Performance Gym.
In order to tryout, students must have a physical on file with the trainers and have all online physical paperwork completed before the start of tryouts on Friday October 25th.
Check in for the tryouts will start at 5:45 am and students will enter through the gym foyer. If you have any questions, please see Coach Symmank as soon as possible.
Langham Creek is Anti-Bullying
You don’t have to be in the same grade, class or organization as someone else to be their friend. Everyone is different, which is a great thing.
