As we celebrate Hispanic Heritage month, we commemorate the contributions of Sylvia Mendez, a civil rights activist of Mexican and Puerto Rican descent, who was central to the 1947 Mendez v. Westminster case that ended the segregation of Hispanic students in California schools. Her case set a precedent for the 1954 Brown v. Board of Education decision, and she later received the Presidential Medal of Freedom from Barack Obama for her advocacy work and educational contributions.

Don’t let your fees get out of control.  Please start taking care of them now. Fees are being added to your School Cash account weekly.  Anything you owe currently or from the past, will show up as a required fee. 

Remember:  If outstanding fees are not paid, you will not receive an exemption card at handout time. 

 

"Support the fight against breast cancer by purchasing a Pink Out shirt for $16 through School Cash. The Pink Out game will be held on Saturday, October 19th, at 7:00 p.m. at the Berry Center, where we'll face Cy Park. Let’s "Pink Out Park!" A portion of the proceeds will go to the Susan G. Komen Foundation to support breast cancer research and awareness efforts."


If you are interested in trying out for the girl's basketball team you must see Coach Steward.  You will need a physical on file and be passing all your classes. Tryouts are Wednesday, October 16th.


Good Morning Lobos, Reminder that there is NO FCA before school this week!  However, You are invited to the DISTRICT Wide FCA Event called Fields of Faith ‘24 it is happening on Wednesday, October 9th from 5pm-8:15pm at Cy-Fair HS football field!  The fun starts with a district wide Tailgate gate event with Free food, lots of fun and fellowship. Please help us promote this amazing event and invite your friends and family! Hope to see you there!!


Hey Lobos!

Your Langham Creek Softball team is hosting a Kickball tournament for all Langham Creek students and teachers!

Find a Lobo softball player to enter you and 12-15 of your friends to see who has the best kickball team in the school.

The tournament will be held on Friday October 11 and 12th at the Lobo Softball Field.

The cost is $12 per person. For more information, scan the QR code on the kick ball flyers found around the school or find a softball player. THE LAST DAY TO SIGN UP IS TUESDAY OCTOBER 8TH!

 Lobos the Divine Divas will collect brand new socks for our Annual Soctober drive  Please see Ms. Mosby or any Divine Divas or Cosmetology student for more details.   The socks collected will go to a shelter in our area.   We need women men and children socks.  The Drive will last for two weeks we are asking every team or club as well as staff at our school to participate in this worthy cause.
