Lobos, supporting the Community is our priority. The Life Skills VITAL 18+ program is helping to support our community sponsors from the Cy Hope Hope Chest. Cy Hope provides many needed services for students in the Cypress Fairbanks district. The new Hope Chest location in Katy is in need of clothing donations and toys for the upcoming holiday season.

Students and staff can bring their gently used clothing, shoes, handbags, and housewares to the VITAL classroom in 1301 now through November 15th.

We are also accepting gently used and new toys for the Holiday drive, supporting our community's needy children. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Ms. McDonnell in room 1301.

Lobos, Fall finals begin in 6 weeks.  Don’t get in the exemption card handout line if you haven’t paid your fine! Check your school cash account for any required fees.  If you have questions about your required fees, please talk to your teacher or your club sponsor.

Saturday, November 11th was Veterans Day. A day we honor the men and women who have served in our armed forces. Across the world, other countries remember those who died on Remembrance Day.

At 11 o’clock on November 11, 1918 WWI came to an end. It was known as the War to End All Wars, and November 11th has since been known as Armistice Day. It has become a day dedicated to the cause of world peace.

In 1947, the United States began celebrating all veterans for their service to the United States and world peace on Armistice Day. This is an important distinction in the US that we remember and recognize all who served. In 1954, Congress replaced Armistice with Veterans and it has been known as Veterans Day ever since.

Langham Creek has several veterans and today we honor and salute them for their service to our country.
